Today marks the beginning of "week 3" for me in my new "fitness journey." I have exercised everyday in those 2 weeks. (Not counting Sunday, but I did walk to choir and go for a Sunday evening family walk...)
I started a new blog as a place to track what I am eating, what exercise I got that day, and any emotional battles I had. (I know it is a little crazy to start another blog when I don't really ever write on this one, but the fact is, the depression has had a pretty tight hold on me for the past while. I didn't have a lot of happy feelings or "good news minutes" to share, and it was such a public place I didn't feel super comfortable sharing the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.... ya know what I mean?
Anyway, I am feeling so much better. Not huge progress on the scale as of yet, but I feel better about myself, just the fact that I am DOING something to move in the right direction, and I am confident the numbers will follow. if you are just dying of curiosity about what I am eating everyday, how many calories I consumed, and how many steps I logged on my pedometer, feel free to pop on over. I'm not posting a link here in case that helps spammers find it, but if you go to my profile, the title of the blog is GO ME!. as of now, it is still a public format, but again, I have thought about making it private... may still do it. Also thought about just turning this blog into my logging place, rather than having two blogs... I guess time will tell what I decide to do.
For now, I am just proud of myself for doing something positive - 14 whole days in a row!
